It is such an amazing experience. People think nothing of going to Dr. Phil and spilling their guts, and he can't forgive them! I heard a story once from the mother of two young boys. One was 7 and about to make his first Confession, and the younger one was about 5. They were talking in the backseat of the car, and the mother was driving and listening. "Why do you have to say your sins to the priest? God already knows", said the younger boy. The mother said the older boy thought for a minute, then said, "Yes, God knows. But he wants to know that <i>you</i> know." I don’t understand why people wouldn’t want to go to frequent Confession.
