The sales people at Loyola Press tell me that the phones are ringing off the hook with requests for my new book, The Catechist’s Toolbox! Apparently, almost 20,000 copies have already been sold! I’m so excited! This is a testament to the catechetical ministry and to catechists everywhere who are showing that they are passionate about this ministry and hungry to grow in effectiveness as we proclaim God’s Word!

Thank you joe! 9-11-07 was are first class and they seem to be a nice group but I had a child give me a dirty look and stuck out his tongue when I asked him to stop tapping me on the arm to get my attenion! I just didn’t say anything after that! should I’ve? or should I’ve told his Mother but she had a screaming baby on her hip, so I let it slide! thanks Joe have a great night!

Debbie, the phrase “out of the mouths of babes” comes to mind but I don’t think we want tongues coming out of their mouths! Sounds to me like you have a child to keep an eye on. There’s no problem letting something slide once…it could have just been “opening night jitters” on the child’s part. However, if it keeps up, you’ll certainly want to address it, first with the child and, if no improvement, then with the parents. Let’s hope week 2 brings a happier child to your class!
