Jenn, how wonderful! What's important is how you talked with them about the images. Anyone can show a Powerpoint, but you used it as an opportunity to share faith and to help them grow. Thanks for sharing your story!

Joe,
I used the images of Jesus with my 7th and 8th grade last night because I had to sub. I don't have a projector so they watched it on my tiny lap top screen...
but they were quiet for the entire time watching it! It was so prayerful (I ended asking them if they thought it was prayer so good lead into that). I used random WOW hits songs on my itunes play list because I didn't know until last minute I was subbing.
We talked about the images and the music (which they had never heard current Christian music). Then I had them draw their image of Jesus after.
I think I gained so much respect with them... as in I think they think Jesus stuff might be alright in 7/8th grade terms. They were talking to me afterward about the images and scrolling through them on my laptop. They loved it! A lot of them were saying how good it was.

Thank you so much! You're great at this. I have much to learn, but with people like you I think I have good mentors.
