A Catechist in Canada
by Joe on February 19, 2009
I had a wonderful trip to
Canada earlier this week –
Calgary andÂ
Vancouver to be precise (both beautiful cities). I stopped in Calgary to visit my lil sister Ann and her husband Bob and their 2 great kids, Grace and Grant. We’re pictured here at
Elbow Falls, about 40 mins from Calgary.

Then, it was on to Vancouver for the
Catholic Educator’s Conference. There, I had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful Canadian catechists and Catholic school religion teachers. I did 2 presentations, one on teaching teens, with a focus on transforming “class” into an “experience” and another on introducing intermediate and junior high kids to the Bible (drawn from my book
God’s Library). I had a wonderful time and I’m thankful to all the good folks who made me feel so at home during my stay. I wish Vancouver well with the 2010 Olympics…they are all excited about it!
Below is just a pic of me having a little fun.
