I attended the webinar live. Great job! Love the use of webinar for this purpose. The main part of the presentation, the four themes based on the four Advent Gospels from Luke and the accompanying age-appropriate activities were excellent. Couple of pieces of constructive criticism re: format … first, you almost lost me during the initial 20 minutes … they were pretty much a waste of time and I feared did not bode well for the remainder of the webinar because they were so lacking in content. (Luckily I stuck around for the meat of the presentation … well worth slugging through the initial 20 min.) Second, the first 20 minutes were way too heavy on promoting your website … a bit of overkill when you incorporated a participant request to repeat it again… slowly. Suggestion … include the URLs for your blog and the Loyola Press website in the footer of each slide. Overall … job well done and I look forward to more! (FYI … apologies for lenghthy post to your comments section, but I was not presented a post-webinar survey.)

Thanks, Bridget. I’m glad you found the info drawn from the Advent Gospels to be helpful. I appreciate the feedback as well about the first 20 minutes that you found less helpful. I’m glad you were patient and stuck around to get the part that you found most helpful. I’m learning that folks want to get right into the meat of things in a webinar. By the same token, I’m conscious of the many beginning catechists who were eager for basic background info on the liturgical calendar and the Advent season per se such as I offered in the first 20 mintues. Finding the right balance is the key!
