Aloha from Oahu!

I had the experience of a lifetime today, doing the keynote presentation at the Faith Formation Conference in Honolulu!

It was a wonderful experience! It was the culmination of an incredible week. My wife and I have spent the past week here and have been so blessed to experience this island paradise. Tomorrow is  a full day of travel back to Chicago. When I get home, I’ll have an opportunity to fill you in on the details and to show you more pics. Thanks to Jayne Mondoy, the Diocesan Director for Catechesis for Honolulu for making our experience here so joyful and for inviting me to speak at the conference.. Thanks to Tony Perino, my colleague from Loyola Press for working so hard to make this trip a reality and for all the hard work he did handling the Loyola Press exhibit over these past 3 days. Speaking of Loyola Press, thank you LP for sending me here…I am extremely grateful. Thanks to all of the beautiful people I met over these days and for your warm welcome and hospitality. And most of all, thank you, Lord, for the blessing of this entire experience. Mahalo!

Keynote Honolulu style!

This could very well be the first outdoor LP exhibit!

  1. Thank you so much for coming to Hawaii, I really enjoyed your sessions and really appreciated that you answered all of my questions. Growing up in youth ministry and now serving them as well as active in young adult ministry my heart has always been serving in the youth..so im glad u helped me with that at the changes to the roman missal class. You also referred me to a website that has clips on how to explain it to the youth, but I did not write it down. May I have that resource again? Thank you again and until then, ALoha!

  2. I lived 3 years in Hawaii when my husband was in the Marine Corps! He and I catechized at St Ann’s in Kaneohe for 2 years. Where were you talking-was it on Oahu? Wish you would have been there
to help all of us back then-have heard you a couple of times here in Dubuque and I know that
we are getting you back late August-
    Aloha
