Lenten Moments of Mercy

Yes, my friends, it’s that time of the year already! Can you believe that Lent is only a couple of weeks away? (Ash Wednesday is February 10.) We’ve barely had time to take down and store away our Christmas decorations.

As always, this season of Lent promises to be full of abundant graces for us and for all those we serve in the catechetical ministry. And, as always, Loyola Press is ready to assist you in guiding people through this season of grace.

  1. The other 7th grade catechist at our parish and I are gifted with the opportunity to guide our students in leading Living Stations of the Cross for our community. This year we realized that we portray 14 Stations of the Cross and there are 14 Works of Mercy so we are hashing about an idea of linking each Station with a particular Work of Mercy eg Station 10 Jesus is stripped of His Clothes to Clothe the Naked. This might possibly be a way that we can link our walking a Way of Mercy to walking Christ’s Way of the Cross.
