From the time I was 2 years old until I reached 50, my two favorite sports teams – the Chicago Cubs and the Chicago Blackhawks, combined for ZERO championships and a total of 150 years combined without winning. So when the Chicago Blackhawks won the Stanley Cup in 2010 and AGAIN last night, you can imagine that I have to do a little celebrating. So, thanks for indulging me. This is a pic of my daughter Amy with the Cup. Amy works for the Discover Company, proud sponsor of NHL Hockey and the Stanley Cup Playoffs!
And to steal it away in such fine fashion! Congrats
Talk about an accomplishment, Joe, you’ve done the impossible. You actually got my middle school-aged son interested in a catechism blog. Thanks for posting the picture!
Long suffering, but happier today,

Congratulations, Joe!!! You should be proud!!! God is Good…!!!

Awesome and she’s beautiful!
Thanks Peggy! I agree!
Yeah Team!
You’re the winner with a Beautiful daughter!
Hi again, Joe,
Reading over my earlier comment I feel I must clarify what I said about my middle school age son’s interest in your blog. His interest is purely hockey-based and has ONLY to do with the picture of the Stanley Cup! Sorry if it sounded otherwise! (But your daughter is lovely, IMHO.)
God bless,
Connie
🙂
Congratulations indeed – on the Blackhawks and on your daughter. What a thrill that win must have been.
My wife Nan who never understood or cared about hockey before watched the payoffs this year with fascination and understanding.
Of course, a large screen HD-TV helps.
I am happy for Chicagoland (which extends from coast to coast and even to foreign countries).

It’s never too late to hop on the Hawks’ bandwagon!
Joe, I am impressed! Not only by you and your wisdom but also by the beauty of your daughter. I can understand why your are ‘busting your buttons”.
