Here’s a great big SHOUT OUT to the many wonderful catechists I met last night in Peoria, IL!!! Peoria is about a 2 1/2 hour drive from the south suburbs of Chicago where I live so it was a very nice peaceful ride. A number of parishes banded together to gather over 80 catechists for a great night of enrichment that included a delicious dinner. I enjoyed the evening with you and look forward to future opportunities to work together with you. Thanks for having me!

Today, I had the pleasure of speaking to a sizeable group of catechists at the St. Louis Archdiocesan Religious Education Institute which took place on the campus of St. Louis University. I had a wonderful couple of days in Cleveland, spending Friday with catechetical leaders and Saturday with catechists, as they kick-off their catechetical year. I was impressed and inspired by the level of enthusiasm and dedication. A Delightful Day in Dallas!
Thanks to all the wonderful catechists in Dallas, TX, who spent the day with me on Saturday, exploring an introduction to the ministry of catechesis. We had a great time, got lots of work done, and even celebrated the Dallas Mavericks’ championship!
