Food and Faith

Ffood-faith-esbood and Faith is a new Loyola Press online series that celebrates the many ways Catholics express their faith through the culinary arts. The connection between food and faith has always been present, from Jesus’ first miracle at the wedding at Cana to today’s celebration of the Eucharist at Mass. Loyola Press is excited to illuminate all the ways we feed our souls at the intersection of food and faith.

The series (a part of Arts and Faith at LoyolaPress.com) covers a wide scope of the personal and public ways faith is shared through food. We hope these 30+ stories inspire you to tap your own talents to express your faith through cooking, baking, gardening, harvesting memories, or simply enjoying good food with great company.

Many of the stories include catechetical tips or activities to use in your classroom. This will come in particularly handy as we approach Thanksgiving, a time when food drives and family table celebrations are top of mind.
