Lord, many people have spoken to me about you. I want to know you.
I have many things in my life preventing me from seeing you, and many things not in keeping with your teachings separating me from you. They are obstacles on my way to you. I have chosen a lukewarm faith: a Christianity that is comfortable and complacent.
I want to overcome these obstacles so that I may know you. I know that your loving eyes are upon me, and I am deeply moved that you call me by my name to come out from where I have been hiding and to be ready to receive you.
Lord, come into my house. Come into my life. Let me always be willing to receive you.
Help me discard the extras that I have accumulated in my heart: my bitterness, my grudges, and the material things I acquired, seeking happiness away from you.
Come and save me. I want to declare and proclaim that, today, salvation has come into my life because you have arrived, and only in you do I find salvation and the fulfillment of life.
Thank you for coming to seek me and redeem me. I offer my life into your hands. Make me your disciple and your missionary.
Amen.
