Over the next couple of days, I’ll be spending time with a number of catechetical leaders in Rockville Centre, NY, talking about how to take care of our catechists! At least I don’t have to worry anymore about where and how I’m gonna catch the next Blackhawks’ playoff game while I’m on the road. The only thing I may miss is a Cubs game and, with the way they’re playing this year, that’s not a bad thing to do! I’ll let you know what folks in Rockville Centre are saying about catechesis and the vocation of the catechist.

A great big THANK YOU to the many folks who came out Thursday for catechetical enrichment in the Archdiocese of Minneapolis/St. Paul! About 70 catechetical leaders in the morning and about 200 catechists in the evening! And, WOW, were they energetic and interactive!!! I had a great time Monday afternoon with a wonderful group of DREs, catechists, and pastors at the Minnesota Catholic Education Association. I did a 3-hour stranded session (tiring!) on The Catechist’s Toolbox.
