Thanks and So Many Other Things…

First, I want to extend a great big THANK YOU to all of the people who expressed their thoughts and prayers over these last few days as we mourned the death and celebrated the life of my mother-in-law, Sophie, who passed away on Tuesday at the tender young age of 95. The funeral was a beautiful experience and it was good to be surrounded by so much love.

While I was away, I hear a Webinar took place! 🙂 I can’t say enough about the team of folks at Loyola Press who stepped up and carried on the Practice Makes Catholic Webinar on Wednesday evening! Carrie Freyer and Nick Yonto did their usual superb job of handling the technical aspects and the needs of participants with style and grace. Jim Moran, one of our many excellent educational consultants at Loyola Press did an outstanding job of taking over the microphone on short notice and delivering the Webinar flawlessly! I had no doubt the team could deliver and they did. I can’t wait to get the recording which will be available within a week or so right here on my blog. Thanks so much!

Thank you to all of your who participated in the Webinar and for your patience and understanding when you found out that I wasn’t available to be a part of it. Carrie tells me that comments from folks revealed such a great deal of compassion. Why am I not surprised? In the end, it gave you a chance to meet a new friend, Jim Moran. Looks like we “discovered” another Webinar facilitator! (Jim is pictured on the left, meeting with the mayor of Libertyville, IL, after Jim was elected to the village’s Board of Trustees recently)

Finally, please bear with me if I continue to seem a bit scattered as we are now heading to Champaign, IL, for our daughter’s graduation from the University of Illinois! Talk about major life experiences! What a week! But it’s all good.

Have a great weekend everyone and, for those of you finishing up your last week of teaching for the year, I hope and pray it all goes well!
