To assist you during this evening’s webinar – Lent in a Year of Faith: How to Proclaim the Gospel with Power – I have put together a Note-Taking Sheet which you can download and print. It’s available in 3 formats in case you have trouble opening one or the other:
Joe Paprocki, DMin, is National Consultant for Faith Formation at Loyola Press, where, in addition to his traveling/speaking responsibilities, he works on the development team for faith formation curriculum resources including Finding God: Our Response to God’s Gifts and God’s Gift: Reconciliation and Eucharist. Joe has more than 35 years of experience in ministry and has presented keynotes, presentations, and workshops in more than 100 dioceses in North America. Joe is a frequent presenter at national conferences including the Los Angeles Religious Education Congress, the Mid-Atlantic Congress, and the National Conference for Catechetical Leadership. He is the author of numerous books, including the best seller The Catechist’s Toolbox, A Church on the Move, Under the Influence of Jesus, and Called to Be Catholic—a bilingual, foundational supplemental program that helps young people know their faith and grow in their relationship with God. Joe is also the series editor for the Effective Catechetical Leader and blogs about his experiences in faith formation at www.catechistsjourney.com.
I participated in the webinar and deeply appreciated the efforts you put into it and the excellent delivery. Since I did not find the note-taking sheet until after the fact, I do not have answers for questions 1 and 4 on the first sheet. Can you help me out?
Certainly, Ann!
1. We have Lent because we have people being baptized on Holy Saturday. (the 40 days before Easter are their final preparation and we walk that journey with them, preparing to renew our baptism)
4. Examples of the Kerygma are found in the Acts of the Apostles (beginning with Peter’s speech in Acts 2.
I participated in the webinar tonight but did not find the survey. Thank you Joe and Nick and Carrie-an excellant program!
Thanks Mary!
