I’m on my way home from a very nice day and a half in Omaha, Nebraska (my first time in this lovely state) where I did a Being, Knowing, and Doing workshop for about 35 catechetical leaders. We enjoyed a very nice day together looking at ways we can take better care of our catechists and provide formation for them that includes all 3 dimensions: being, knowing, doing. Here’s a big SHOUT OUT to the good folks in Omaha: thanks for such a nice day!

P.S. The picture is the famous statue at the entrance to Boys Town where I just had to stop before coming home. Couldn’t get the indelible movie image out of my mind of Whitey (Mickey Rooney) crying and holding poor Pee Wee after he got hit by a car!

  1. Glad we could supply you with a wonderful day. Sorry, I could not make the workshop-I had to work today and teach at one of Omaha’s inner-city Catholic middle schools. We are in the midst of teaching the Circle of Grace lessons.
