We encounter Jesus through the Sacraments of Initiation—Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist. In this lesson, young people will complete activities at 12 different learning stations—each sacrament has four stations—that will deepen their understanding of the Sacraments of Initiation.
The free lesson plan packet includes instructions for how to set up learning stations that get children out of their seats and moving around doing simple tasks to learn about the symbols and signs used in each Sacrament of Initiation. The helpful supplies checklist will allow you to organize materials to lead a successful session. Mini-posters to display at each station and worksheets to help the children collect their knowledge are also included in the plan packet.
The Sacraments of Initiation learning stations can be fun and fruitful learning for a variety of age groups or during an intergenerational gathering.
I’d love to see your sacraments learning stations for my 4th graders.
Kim, please fill out the form in the post above, and you’ll receive an e-mail with a link to the learning stations. Enjoy!

I added stations for journaling so that I had only one student per station, and told them when to switch. It did take about an hour, though. Loved it! This will be my 4th year doing this with my 5th graders.
Great idea, Jackie…thanks for sharing!
About how long do you think the stations will take?
You do not list a time frame.
I Love the concept and process, just looking for idea of time.
Thank you
