Free Prayer Cards Inspired by the Letters of Pope Francis

Prayer Cards Inspired by Pope Francis

As we near the end of the catechetical year, you might be thinking how you might mark the occasion with a special keepsake for your students. Encourage children to keep up a practice of prayer throughout the summer break by giving them a prayer card (or three!), free for you to download this month, in English or in Spanish. Inspired by the letters of Pope Francis in the book Dear Pope Francis, the cards each display artwork drawn by children featured in the book. The prayers acknowledge the journey of religious education and the goal of growing in friendship with Jesus.

Personalize the cards with a special note to each child. Or invite the children to write their own prayers in the style of the ones on the cards, a great activity to accompany time spent reading Dear Pope Francis in your classroom.

The prayer cards also make a perfect bookmark insert to go with a gift of Dear Pope Francis / Querido Papa Francisco to any child, especially those receiving First Eucharist this spring. Learn more about the book here.
