Our 15th Anniversary Giveaway: A Church on the Move

A Church on the Move giveaway in honor of Catechist's Journey anniversary
We continue our year-long celebration of the 15th anniversary of the launch of Catechist’s Journey and publication of The Catechist’s Toolbox. Our celebration continues today with the chance to win a copy of my book, A Church on the Move: 52 Ways to Get Mission and Mercy in Motion.

Well before the pandemic, I wrote A Church on the Move, recognizing that our parishes were in crisis and in need of new approaches to engaging parishioners. Now, more than ever, this book is needed for us to renew our efforts to engage and re-engage people with the Good News of the Gospel. I believe that, with the right strategies in place, the Catholic Church—and the local parish specifically—will not only survive, but thrive. In A Church on the Move, I offer 52 practical strategies for moving parishes forward, principally by focusing on the one thing the Church can offer that the world-at-large cannot: Jesus Christ. I begin each chapter with a quote from Pope Francis, and each strategy falls within one of five key categories: how a Church on the move thinks, functions, worships, forms disciples, and engages the world. In every chapter, I offer what I hope are creative, redemptive, and achievable solutions. A Church on the Move brings to the parish level the great themes of Pope Francis’s papacy—mission, mercy, and evangelization—and replaces despair with a profound hope for the future of the Catholic Church.
