Many, many thanks to all the good folks who came out in San Diego over the past couple of days to talk about catechizing junior high kids! I had a great time and I hope you did too! Thanks to Mary Jo Waggoner and Enedina Saucedo for their hospitality and for arranging for this experience to take place. Thanks especially to mis amigos Miguel Arias and Luis Ramirez for all their hard work and for making this trip so much fun. Thanks to Jeff Kraft and Bill Geheren for making the trip and for all the support! Now its home for a day and a half and then off to Vegas for NCCL! Have a great weekend everyone!

I enjoyed spending the day yesterday with about 50 “Cheeseheads” which of course is the nickname given to Green Bay Packers’ fans. Tonight, our 8th graders will be going to the church to celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the season of Lent. I see that in the Archdiocese of Boston, Cardinal Sean O’Malley has launched an effort titled “The Light is On for You” to encourage people to receive the Sacrament of Penance/Reconciliation. Delighted to Be in Duluth!

I’m enjoying my first visit to Duluth, MN, and I have to say that it is simply one of the most beautiful lakefronts I have ever seen! I had a wonderfully relaxing afternoon here yesterday, topped off by a nice 5-mile run along the lake walk. Lots of nice quiet time last evening in the hotel room to get some writing done.
