Video Contest!

Where do you find God? Loyola Press is asking students, teachers, and catechists to showcase the inspiring and sometimes-surprising ways they experience God’s presence in their everyday lives through the Finding God Video Contest, an original multimedia project. Schools and parishes who submit videos are eligible to win the following prizes:

  • First prize: School- or parish-wide adoption of the new edition of Finding God: Our Response to God’s Gifts(grades 1–6)
  • Second prize:$1,000 Loyola Press product gift certificate
  • Third prize: $500 Loyola Press product gift certificate

Loyola Press publisher, Paul Campbell, discusses the reason for the Finding God Video Contest: “Finding God: Our Response to God’s Gifts is all about discovering God’s presence everywhere and in everything. This video contest helps our students seek traces of God in our world.”

Teachers, catechists, and their students are encouraged to work together and unite their school or parish community to vote on their videos. School or parish staff members (e.g., DREs, principals, catechists, teachers) should submit videos at least thirty seconds in length and no longer than two minutes at www.FindingGod.com/contest. The deadline to submit videos and to vote is April 20, 2012.

Winners will be determined by online voting, so entries should be submitted as soon as possible to allow plenty of time to vote. The first, second, and third prize winners will be announced at the National Conference for Catechetical Leadership in May 2012 and by e-mail. For full details, rules, and entry information, visit www.FindingGod.com/contest.
