A great big THANK YOU to all the good folks who came out to the Santa Clara Faith Formation Conference this past weekend and especially to those who sat in on my presentations! It’s always a delight to travel to California (especially when it’s cold in Chicago!) and to share faith with you. I also had a chance to get together with my cousin Mike and his wife Mary Kay who live in San Jose…it was great catching up! (And it was NOT fun coming back to snow and 19 degrees!)

Howdy to Hoxie and a Salute to Salina!
I spent a few wonderful days in the state of Kansas (my first visit there!) at a couple of Catechist Rallies, one in each end of the state. Saturday was in Salina on the eastern side of the state and Sunday was in Hoxie on the wesern side of the state. That made for some nice long rides…beautiful! Thanks to everyone for coming out to the catechist rallies…I learned so much from you and I hope […]
A Hot Time in Dallas!
Dallas was HOT! But oh what a wonderful time we had there Saturday! A crew of us from Loyola Press swept in to spend the day with nearly 600 catechists looking at The Role of the Catechist. I did the English segment (seeings how I’m learning to speak that language pretty good) and my talented and charming friend and colleague Miguel Arias did the Spanish segment. A great big THANKS to all of the wonderful […]
Great to see you, as always, Joe!
From one hard working catechist to another!
I am director of our parish youth catechesis and have been a catechist since I was a sophamore in college (25+ years ago!). I attended your Friday morning presentation on Catholic identity and it was great. I have read a few of your books and this year we started using Called To Be Catholic. Excellent text. Will be following it with Confirmed in the Spirit.
Thanks, David! Keep up the great work! Glad I can be a partner on the journey!
