Explore the highlights of Mary’s life with a fun treasure hunt. Designed to be used as a family activity at home, the clues lead children to think about the Annunciation, the Visitation, and more, as they follow directions to get to a final prize.
The prize may include a book of Bible stories, a book on Mary, a plush figure of Mary, or anything else appropriate.
Prepare children for the hunt by discussing the stories of Mary’s life in advance, or look up the Bible stories after the treasure is found and devote time to discussing the stories of Mary in Scripture. This activity is perfect for Mary’s month of May or anytime a family wants to do a faith-inspired at-home event.
Is there a Spanish language of the Marian Treasure Hunt? It is wonderful! The majority of my students speak Spanish as their native tongue. I would like to send a Spanish language version home to the parents. Most of them do not speak or read English.
Hi Anne. Unfortunately, I do not have a Spanish language version of the Marian Treasure Hunt. If you have the resources, feel free to translate it to share with your students’ parents.
