Lord, thank you for all the people who have proclaimed your name throughout the past two thousand years. Many have given their lives so that today I can encounter you.
I feel happy and fulfilled by my faith, knowing that you are the Messiah, the Son of God, the one awaited through the ages. You are the beginning and the end. You are the Lord of Life.
Help me make our encounters increasingly frequent and profound. I want to know you, and by knowing you, I want to see myself through the lens of faith, to know myself as I exist in relation to you, Lord.
Lord, many people around me have never encountered you in a profound way. Help me bring them into an encounter with you. Lord, I am also afraid of being rejected. Help me overcome the obstacles that prevent me from speaking openly about my faith. Give me the strength to speak up about you so that others may know you and the joy you bring to my life.
Lord, open my heart to a deeper encounter with you. Help me respond to your call to bring the faith to others, adding more links to the chain of faith.
Amen.
