During June and July, many catechists from all over the world participated in on online retreat here at Catechist’s Journey, focusing on the spirituality of the catechist. I’ve been getting some inquiries from people about whether or not they can participate in the retreat during the upcoming catechetical year. The answer is CERTAINLY! Of course there won’t be as much interaction as there was when the retreat was “live” but all of the content is still there (here!). To make it easy for you, I’m providing links to the retreat below. I suggest you bookmark this page for easy access to the online retreat.

Final Installment of Comments and Questions from Under the Influence Webinar
Here is the final installment of some more wonderful comments and questions from last evening’s Webinar on my new book, Under the Influence of Jesus: The Transforming Experience of Encountering Christ. I find that when I am not at peace all the others become more difficult to demonstrate, easier when I am at peace, trusting God. (Ron W.) I wonder how to say “sourpuss” in Latin. I’m picturing the translators debating whether to use “sourpuss” or […]
5 Days Until Our Online Retreat for Catechists – Questions
Just 5 more days until we begin our Online Retreat for Catechists – The Spirituality of the Catechist – right here at Catechist’s Journey! I went over most of the particulars in my last post and have received such great feedback from so many people…thanks! Included, there have been 2 questions that have come up repeatedly, so permit me to address them here: Q: Do I need to register for the retreat? A: No…no need to […]
This training session sounds great. I can’t make any of the live presentations coming up but am very interested in when it will be available. I am running a catechist training session on September 8 and 10 and I would love to see what your topics are to help me with training. I am the director of religious education for elementary school age children K-5. Thanks so much!
Lorraine, the recordings of the Webinars will most definitely be available by then. I’ll announce it on my blog and provide the link. Stay tuned.
This is my first time teaching and I have no clue where to begin! I will be teaching first grade so I want to make sure I teach them everything they need to know. Can you point me in the right direction for the appropriate tools I will need to be the “best” first grade Catechist. Thank you and God Bless.
