  1. Joe,
I am a 62 year old retired guy, who thought it would be a good idea to be catechist because my 10 year old and I would be in on the same schedule. Of course I didn’t realize that I would not be in charge of where I will be helping out. It then slowly occurred to me that the Spirit was moving me this way. I don’t I think I have enjoyed a new undertaking as much as I have the journey to be a catechist. I am brand new and old enough to know I don’t know what I am doing, yet. But, hey, I am not in charge, the Holy Spirit is. So am praying I will not make a fool of myself while I gain the skills to be an effective catechist. Your
class, that I have been listening to the recording of has helped me to calm down.

    Regards,
    Bill Walker

    • Bill, thanks for sharing your story…it is very inspiring to see someone so open to the Holy Spirit and willing to be led out of one’s comfort zone! I’m glad that you’re enjoying things so much and I’m sure the kids will love having a grandfatherly-type man teaching them about the love of God! Best wishes and keep in touch!
