Wish I Had This DVD When I Was Teaching Confirmation

Confirmed in the Spirit DVDHere’s info about a new Confirmation DVD that I wish I had when I was teaching Confirmation a few years back! The DVD is Called and Confirmed and is part of the revised Confirmed in the Spirit Confirmation program by Loyola Press.

The DVD has 3 parts, the 2nd of which I am particularly fond of since I had the privilege of narrating it! Here are some previews:

Track 1: Marty’s Call

Especially relevant at the beginning of the Confirmation preparation process, this 30-minute dramatic film features a teen named Marty who is grappling with the meaning of Confirmation.

Track 2: The Rite of Confirmation

As I mentioned above, I narrate this segment which is a 15-minute documentary that helps young people and adults discover the rich history and profound significance of the Sacrament of Confirmation. Cool thing is, the young man who played “Marty” in Track 1 actually missed his confirmation to make this film and we ended up filming his actual confirmation (for Track 2) which he celebrated later at a neighboring parish!

Track 3: Alive in the Spirit

Ideally viewed toward the end of the Confirmation preparation process, this 15-minute video features a series of testimonials that offers comfort, hope, and inspiration for young people.

The nice thing about these segments is that you can adapt them to your particular setting and circumstances AND you can purchase the DVD whether or not you are using the Confirmed in the Spirit program! (Of course, the DVD comes free with purchase of the program
