It’s not always easy to find good resources on the topic of Catholic Social Teaching. Thanks to Catholic Relief Services and the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, however, we now have a free video resource with which to engage those we teach with the seven principles of Catholic Social Teaching.
CST 101 is a collaborative seven-part video series presented by the USCCB and CRS. The videos bring the themes of Catholic social teaching to life and inspire disciples of Christ to put faith into action. The videos and accompanying discussion guides can be used in adult faith formation settings, RCIA, high school religion classes, and preparation for service experiences. The series includes posters and handouts, in English and Spanish. The images featured in the videos are courtesy of my friend, the very talented Br. Mickey McGrath, OSFS.
Be sure to check out this great new resource to help form disciples in faith and inspire them to put that faith into action: Catholic Social Teaching 101 Videos and Materials.

The school edition of Finding God Grades 7–8 includes directions for Catholic Social Teaching research projects that give young people the opportunity to do in-depth study.
