I had the most wonderful time in Bridgeport, CT, yesterday, spending the day with about 150 of the nicest people in the world (I know, I always say that, but HEY, catechetical ministers are some of the nicest people in the whole world!). Thanks to Carol Pinard (director of the catechetical office) and all the good folks of Bridgeport for their hospitality! Here’s a peek:

Talk to Me!
I realized recently that I hadn’t received a comment here on my blog for a while. I chalked it up to folks being busy with end-of-the-year responsibilities and then vacations. However, I brought it to the attention of my IT guy and, sure enough, upon investigation, he found that a security setting had been blocking comments. He assures me that he’s corrected the situation. Sorry if you’ve been trying to leave comments in recent weeks […]
Thanks to Richmond, VA!
I had a wonderful weekend in Richmond, VA, doing the keynote and a couple of workshops at their “Graced by God” conference. Thanks to Eileen Brown for arranging for me to speak and to Deacon Ed Schmidt who served as my “personal assistant” throughout the day. I immensely enjoyed meeting Ed and spending the day with him and enjoying lunch with him and his wife. Thanks Ed for your selfless diaconal service, not only to […]
Detroit Society of Catechetical Leaders
Greetings from Detroit where I’m spending the morning with the Detroit Society of Catechetical Leaders talking about A Well-Built Faith! Luckily I did not have to miss one of my Monday night sessions with my 8th graders since yesterday, March 1, was Casimir Pulaski Day in Illinois, a state holiday, so we had no class. This coming Sunday is Confirmation and for once, I have the opportunity to actually attend the Confirmation Mass to see […]
Thank you for the presentation, Joe. It was an enjoyable and informative session. I plan on bringing your bookmarks back to our program and putting them to good use.
You’re very welcome, Laurie! I had a wonderful time and I’m glad that you got something out of it to use with your program!
Joe,
I too enjoyed your presentation in Bridgeport and am making plans to share it with my catechists and Confirmation students. Reading through the Bible Blueprint has been helpful. I have been enjoying the side comments, cartoons and jokes as well as the practical information.
I bought Your book for my catechists. You mentioned that you would make your powerpoint presentation available. I would appreciate that very much
Thanks, Debbie! Yes, I’ll be in touch soon.
