There is no time like the present for a parish to pause and take stock of its way of proceeding in order to reignite energy, stop doing things “the way we’ve always done them,” and become a Church on the move! To assist in this endeavor, I’ve recorded a free presentation.
In this presentation, I offer a fast-paced look at the suggestions from my book, A Church on the Move: 52 Ways to Get Mission and Mercy in Motion. Each of the 52 helpful and practical strategies falls within one of five key categories: how a Church on the move thinks, functions, worships, forms disciples, and engages the world. To make the presentation easy-to-digest, I have covered each idea in only 60 seconds! This makes it perfect for parish pastoral councils, advisory boards, or parish staffs to gather and view and then discuss, unpack, and brainstorm how to implement strategies in their own parishes.
While the Gospel and Catholic Tradition remain unchanged, we need to reimagine and reinvent how we proclaim the Good News in the 21st century. My prayer for you is that your parish finds the spark needed, as my friend Julianne Stanz says, to “reclaim the fire!”
This was a tremendously informative presentation. I will share these ideas with others.
Thanks, Joanne! Be sure to share with folks how they can get the book which goes into much more detail on each of the 52 ideas! https://store.loyolapress.com/a-church-on-the-move
