How We Can (and Must) Be Bearers of Hope

Bearers of Hope presentation by Juliane Stanz - presentation cover image

How are you holding up? Let’s face it, this pandemic is really taking its toll on us in a variety of ways. We know already that the holidays can be a time of despair for some people—a situation that will be made even worse with shelter-at-home orders that will prevent holiday gatherings from happening. More than ever, we need some hope!

As catechists, we are called to be bearers of hope, bringing the hope-filled message of Jesus to those experiencing the darkness of despair. However, we can’t give what we don’t have! We, ourselves, must be filled with this gift of hope.

I can think of no one better to help us embrace hope than my friend Julianne Stanz—author, speaker, evangelist, wife, mother, and mystic. Julianne has gifted us with a recorded presentation titled “Bearers of Hope,” in which she explores the importance of the theme of hope and suggests three principles of renewal as the hinge-points of missionary creativity for all those called to proclaim the Good News. What a gift for us during this Advent season! Thank you, Julianne!
